As we all know, there are so many types of small businesses that we love that are "non-essential" during this time of crisis and pandemic. Especially in the world of artists and creatives - our favorite local small toy shops, music venues, unique clothing and jewelry stores, floral shops, and so many more are temporarily closed, at least in their physical locations if not entirely. It has been an unfamiliar and challenging change for everyone, but the health and safety of our global community is the most important to us all.
Here at Dandelion, we closed our doors at our physical locations as soon as the state government recommended that we do so. It has of course been challenging, but we are adapting and figuring things out along the way! We are using this time to focus on ways to continue bringing you beautiful and unique jewelry and gifts even while our stores are closed. We are working hard to add your favorite collections to our website inventory so that you can find the pieces you may be looking for. We are also still getting in some new collections that we have not carried before! We are still shipping, and we are so grateful to everyone who has been following us and shopping with us online. We will especially miss helping you with your Mother's Day purchases at the stores - it is always such a joyful time when we get to see everyone choosing something for the wonderful moms out there. But we are doing our best to make a great selection available online, and we are even visiting the stores to do some decorating in honor of the mamas!
So what does it look like to suddenly transition from having four store locations to just being an online shop? We have taken much of the jewelry out of the stores and into Leslie's home. When needed, she carefully travels to a store to collect something that you have ordered if she doesn't already have it at home. She then packages and ships it for you and includes our pretty gift wrapping if you've requested it. Our shipping times have not been affected too much so far, but there may be small delays depending on the logistics of fulfilling the order.
Other than that, we are working hard to add more treasures to the website. We know that you love our wide and unique selection that you have always found in our stores, and we want to make that available to you online. It is an ongoing process and if there is something in particular that you would like to see on our website, don't hesitate to reach out! We will do our best, and although we are a non-essential business and a luxury, we want to be here to bring joy through beautiful art and meaningful gifts. We want you to be able to send loved ones a beautiful Dandelion package. Or treat yourself to something special whether you've had a particularly great day or a particularly challenging day.
