Kelim Trunk Show
Saturday, November 9th
Meral Sartekin was born in 1960 in Akhisar, a rural village in Turkey. The free-spirited, independent young woman left her country to study abroad in Zurich, Switzerland where she married Halil and gave birth to their daughter.
In 1992 the couple founded Kelim, a boutique specializing in handmade goods from their native Turkey. Meral and Helil began designing jewelry, inspired by the beautiful patterns in the traditional Turkish carpets and the natural beauty of their adopted country, Switzerland.
After the success of their first wholesale trade show, the couple focused solely on designing and producing the Kelim Jewelry Collection. Together with their nephew, Gultekin, they established an atelier in Istanbul, where a team of highly trained craftsmen brings each design to life.
Join us Saturday, November 9th for our Kelim Trunk Show! A representative is attending with the collection. Mark your calendars and be sure to join us for our trunk show!
Ayala Bar Trunk Show
Friday, November 29th - Sunday, December 1st
Ayala Bar was born in Israel and resides there today. Since graduating from art school, she has worked in many artistic areas from theater to interior design. In the late 1980s, she surfaced as a prominent Israeli jeweler. Her current designs blend natural elements and glass with assorted metals to create a rich mosaic, resulting in intricate limited-edition pieces. Ayala Bar has consistently produced designs that are innovative yet timeless, bold yet feminine and international in appeal. Ayala Bar jewelry is handcrafted and has the artist's name on the back.
“Ever since I can remember I have loved drawing, sculpture, embroidery or sewing. I studied art in a professional capacity but people are sometimes surprised to learn that this did not include jewelry making or silversmithing. “Matchmaking” materials are what I love to do: testing contrasts, colors and textures and how they interact together. Combining beads and soft tassels with jagged surfaces; matte textures with shiny metals. For me, the possibilities are boundless and anything can trigger creative impulse.” –Ayala Bar
Join us on Black Friday, November 29th, through Sunday, December 1st for our Ayala Bar trunk show! Shop from the entire collection while enjoying refreshments and a relaxed environment during this crazy time of year!
