Emily Amey is a New York–based jeweler with a fiercely independent spirit. Raised in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, she grew up dreaming beyond the horizon. In her early twenties, she moved to New York City, where she immersed herself in the vibrant downtown scene of artists and independent designers. Determined to discover her own creative voice, she began studying metalsmithing at FIT and soon found her calling in jewelry design.

A passionate traveler, collector, gardener, and interior designer, Emily’s many loves naturally weave into her work. Drawn to rich, bold color, she travels the world in search of gemstones that tell a story. From the Bazaar in Jaipur and souks of Marrakech to the renowned gemshows of Tucson and Hong Kong, she has formed relationships with small-scale miners and gem cutters across the globe—treasuring not just the stones themselves, but the cultures, stories, and friendships that come with them.

Emily’s pieces embody an organic, handmade spirit. She works intuitively, sculpting wax into fluid, one-of-a-kind forms that let each one of a kind gemstone shine. Committed to sustainability, she uses recycled precious metals and ethically sourced stones whenever possible. Every stage of production, from design to finished piece, is completed domestically, with much of the work handcrafted in her Hudson Valley studio. 

Beyond her bench, Emily is a mama, an estate sale maven, a live music loving, poppy planting, skinny dipping, social activist. Rooted in authenticity and guided by adventure, she brings that same energy into every piece she creates.
