From June 24-June 25 Dandelion in Wyomissing will be hosting an in-store event to help support the Animal Rescue League of Berks County. 10% of sales from the weekend will support the ARL in Berks County. This weekend Sarah, Ariana, and I paid a visit to the ARL to meet with the staff and get up close and personal with some furry friends.
During our visit to the facilities, we experienced the day to day routine of the staff, volunteers, and animals. We were able to explore the grounds where volunteers take the animals (mostly dogs) out for their daily exercise.
We even took a tour of the inside visiting small critters, big dogs, little dogs, and of course cats! I think the cat colonies were Sarah and Ariana's idea of paradise.
Our experience at the Animal Rescue League left us with a better understanding of all the positivity they provide for animals and the community. Because they house such a large number of animals, they have limited supplies. They need our help, so If you can't adopt, you can donate! The ARL is looking for peanut butter, dog treats, dog beds, towels, and anything else to benefit the animals.
