SHOP SUZANNE KALAN
Born in Lebanon with an Armenian family heritage, Suzanne Kalan grew up with a background in fine jewelry and an innovative vision for design. Suzanne's family has a long history in the jewelry industry. Her father owned a jewelry store, and she grew up working closely with him, learning about the business and jewelry design. Early on, Suzanne only designed jewelry for her friends and family. Suzanne worked her husband Paul, who is a diamond-setter by trade, to launch the family business in 1988.
With the start of the company, Suzanne’s daughter Patile would often be at the Suzanne Kalan Studio after school, playing with gemstones and sketching. Over the years, she grew up working closely with her mother and father, learning about jewelry production and design. After spending some time studying Biochemistry, Patile decided to change routes and join the family business in 2012. She leads the production team with her father, and designs the 14-karat collection, KALAN By Suzanne Kalan.
With over 28 years of experience designing fine jewelry, Suzanne Kalan continues to create stunning collections that are both innovative and unique. Designing in 18-karat gold, Suzanne's custom-cut colorful gemstones and dramatically placed diamonds add a modern twist to the traditional design. Her signature Fireworks collection received international praise for its breathtaking design, which marries the chaos of scattered baguette diamonds with large custom-cut gemstones.
