The Chrysanthemum flower, often referred to as mums or even crysanths, is known for its warm colored blooms during the fall season. Though this autumn staple originates from eastern parts of Asia and north eastern Europe, its name is derived from the ancient Greek words for "gold" and "flower." Chrysanthemums hold a variety of different meanings, with the most common being joy and longevity.
