Kelim Jewelry is designed by Meral Sartekin and her husband Halil. Born in a rural village in Turkey, Meral moved to Switzerland to study abroad. There she met Halil, began a family, and started designing the Kelim Jewelry line. They are inspired by the beautiful patterns in the traditional carpets of their native Turkey, and the natural beauty of their adopted country of Switzerland. Kelim Jewelry is a collaboration between Meral, Halil, and their nephew Gultekin, and is handcrafted in Istanbul, Turkey from sterling silver and fine silver.
