The Ruby-throated Hummingbird is a tiny marvel, measuring just 3 inches and weighing less than a penny. It can fly up to 30 mph and hover in place. Despite its size, it migrates 2,000 miles alone each year. Only males have the distinctive ruby-red throat for attracting mates.
