March Birthstone - Aquamarine
| The March birthstone, aquamarine, is named after the color of the sea. Ranging from a very pale, clear blue to medium and more opaque blue-green colors, this gem has long been associated with the ocean. It was thought to bring protection to sailors and travelers in general, along with the ability to calm waves. Today, as a modern birthstone, it is often called the stone of transformation.
